If you’ve ever gone on a long road trip, you know that sometimes having to pack up alllll that stuff can be daunting. If you have kids, well it’s even more work. Over the years I’ve had to pack up our family for roadtrips, sometimes to visit family and other times on our way to a fun destination. Our family has gone from two people, to now five. In the beginning of Febuary my littlest babe and I travelled on the ferry over to Nanaimo. Prior to this trip, I had only been to the island once before, a quick day visit with my grade 8 class. So I was excited.
Not going to lie, the ferry ride over sucked. It was late and dark, so there was no view outside the windows. It was also really crowded, and we ended up losing our seats and I eventually just plopped down outside the little kids playroom. It proved to be be a smart move getting off though, we were right beside the door to exit.
Seeing my dear friend was the obvious highlight of the trip; having the kids being able to visit together and hang out was fun. Hanging out with old friends is usually always full of laughs and jokes, and this visit was no different. [Read more…]
